ADHD Coaching

Working towards goals, developing routines, and overcoming shame

As an ADHD coach, I will help you identify the goals that you want to work on, and coming up with a step-by-step plan to help you get there. I will support you in breaking tasks down into manageable pieces and bringing more joy into your daily life.

I will also share information about the neurobiology of ADHD and help you better understand yourself and your needs. My goal is to help you understand how you work and how to set up rhythms and habits that work for you. Many people with ADHD look for coaching because you feel bad about not being able to keep up with your to-do lists, getting distracted, or struggling academically. I’m here to remind you that there is nothing wrong with you. You’ve likely just been given expectations that don’t work for you. Together we’ll readjust and help you improve your self esteem through better understanding yourself.

How coaching differs from therapy

I was trained in ADHD coaching by Candin Phillips of Humanity Hive. I have experience working with kids, teens, and adults with ADHD to come up with routines that support you (spoiler alert: there will probably be a whiteboard involved at some point).

When I support clients as a coach, the biggest difference in my approach is that we are more focused on working towards specific goals and skill building, with less of an emphasis on emotional processing. While your emotional experience may come up and is important, we’ll primarily focus on how your ADHD is affecting different areas of your life and how you can manage the specific challenges you’re facing in your work, school, and/or home environments.
